Introducing "Faces and Voices of Atypical Parkinsonism" by CCF

At the Coleen Cunningham Foundation (CCF), we've embarked on a new journey to bring awareness to the lesser-known side of Parkinsonism - the atypical forms. Our latest campaign, "Faces and Voices of Atypical Parkinsonism", doesn't just aim to inform; it aims to inspire, connect, and empower.

Why This Campaign?

Atypical Parkinsonism, encompassing conditions like PSP, MSA, and CBD, affects thousands, yet remains shrouded in obscurity compared to its better-known counterpart, Parkinson's disease. These conditions bring unique challenges, not only medically but socially and emotionally. Through this campaign, we:
  • Share Stories: Real-life narratives from patients and their families, providing a human face to these disorders.
  • Educate: Detailed information on symptoms, diagnosis, and living with atypical Parkinsonism, helping to demystify these conditions.
  • Connect: Building a community where experiences, advice, and hope can be shared among those affected.
  • Advocate: Pushing for better research, treatment options, and societal understanding and support for atypical Parkinsonism.

    What's Involved?
    • Monthly Features: Each month, we'll highlight a different story, focusing on diverse experiences across Canada and beyond.
    • Resource Hub: An online library with medical insights, coping strategies, and support resources for those affected.
    • Community Engagement: Interactive sessions, virtual support groups, and events where voices can be heard, and support can be offered.

    Join The Movement

Whether you're living with one of these conditions, caring for someone who is, or simply wish to learn more and support our cause, we invite you to follow along. Your engagement, your stories, and your support can make a profound difference.

    How You Can Help:

    • Spread the word using #FacesAndVoicesCCF on your social media.
    • Donate to our cause to fund research and support programs.
    • Share your story or the story of a loved one to inspire and educate others.

This campaign is just the beginning. We're here to ensure that no one walks alone in their journey with atypical Parkinsonism. Together, let's amplify these voices and change the narrative around these conditions.
