Join Us for the Atypical Parkinsonism Awareness Walk 2025 at Burlington Mall!

Spring is almost here, and with it comes an incredible opportunity to make a difference. On Saturday, May 3, 2025, the Coleen Cunningham Foundation (CCF) for PSP Awareness is hosting the Atypical Awareness Walk 2025 at Burlington Mall at The Hub in Burlington, Ontario. This special event is our chance to raise awareness for Atypical Parkinsonism—conditions like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), and Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB)—and to remind our community that No One Walks Alone.
We’re bringing this powerful cause right to the heart of Burlington, gathering at The Hub inside Burlington Mall for a day filled with connection, education, and action. Whether you’re personally touched by Atypical Parkinsonism, supporting someone who is, or simply eager to lend a hand, we’d love for you to join us. Registration kicks off at 12:00 PM EDT, with the walk starting at 1:00 PM EDT, and it’s completely free to participate—though we’d be grateful for any donations to support CCF’s efforts. Expect a morning of meaningful steps, community spirit, and a chance to learn more about these rare disorders.
Atypical Parkinsonism often lingers in the shadows, overshadowed by more familiar conditions like Parkinson’s disease. Yet its challenges—like balance struggles in PSP or autonomic issues in MSA—are profound, and standard treatments rarely help. That’s why this walk matters so much. It’s our moment to spark conversations, build support, and push for more research and resources. Last year, CCF fundraisers brought in over $10,000, and with your help, we can do even more in 2025. This event is part of the Global Atypical Parkinsonism Awareness Walk happening throughout May, but our gathering at Burlington Mall puts a local spotlight on a worldwide mission.
Getting involved is easy. You can sign up for free at pspawareness.com, spread the word to friends and family—maybe even use the hashtag #AtypicalAwarenessWalk2025 on social media—and grab a walk T-shirt from our online shop (coming soon), where every purchase supports our cause. Donations are always welcome, too, whether through the event page or on the day itself, helping us provide vital support to families and individuals facing Atypical Parkinsonism.
Imagine a vibrant morning at The Hub, surrounded by people who care. We’ll walk through the mall’s accessible spaces, hear from those whose lives have been touched by these conditions, and connect with local resources. Feel free to bring your family, friends, or even your leashed pets—let’s make it a true community celebration.
On May 3rd, every step we take at Burlington Mall will echo our commitment to those living with Atypical Parkinsonism. Join us at The Hub to honor, support, and inspire. Head over HERE to register or learn more. We can’t wait to see you there—together, we’re unstoppable!
